Our Financial Education Journey

Since 2018, we've been helping people in Taiwan understand money management through practical, real-world financial education that actually makes sense.

How We Started

Back in 2017, I was sitting in a coffee shop in Taitung listening to three different people complain about the same thing – they had no idea where their money was going each month. One was a teacher, another ran a small business, and the third was just starting their career.

That's when it hit me. Financial education in Taiwan was either too academic or too simplified. People needed something in between – practical guidance that respected their intelligence while actually being useful in daily life.

So we started CerevoBrainy with a simple mission: teach income budgeting and financial planning in ways that stick. No confusing jargon, no unrealistic promises, just solid financial principles explained clearly.

What Drives Our Teaching

These aren't just nice words on a website – they're the principles that shape every lesson we create.

Real Numbers

We use actual Taiwan salary ranges, real local expenses, and genuine case studies from our students. No made-up scenarios or foreign examples that don't apply here.

Practical Focus

Every lesson connects to something you'll actually do with your money. We skip the theory that sounds smart but doesn't help you make better financial decisions.

Honest Timelines

Building good financial habits takes months, not weeks. We set realistic expectations and support you through the actual time it takes to see results.

Seven Years of Teaching Experience

We've refined our approach through hundreds of students and countless real-world budgeting challenges. Here's what we've learned works best for people living in Taiwan.

  • Income tracking systems that work with irregular pay schedules
  • Expense categorization that matches Taiwan lifestyle patterns
  • Emergency fund strategies adapted to local banking options
  • Goal-setting frameworks that account for family obligations

Financial education works best when it comes from someone who understands both the concepts and the cultural context you're working within.

Lead Financial Educator

I've been teaching personal finance in Taiwan since 2018, but my interest in financial education started much earlier. After watching too many smart people struggle with money management despite having good incomes, I realized the problem wasn't intelligence – it was approach.

My background combines practical banking experience with adult education principles. I spent five years working in financial services before transitioning to education, which gives me insight into both how money systems work and how people actually learn best.
